Finally Decided To Get On WordPress

All I ever wanted to do was draw cartoons and camp out. Somehow, about 40 years ago, I got side tracked and fell into the health care profession. Saved some coin, bought a camper, and recently disappeared back into the woods where I belong. Took a sketch pad and magic markers too.

I have owned many desktop computers over the years. I was even into desk top publishing. I drew, wrote, and contributed to a nation wide humorous (and satirical) nursing journal.

I was on facebook. Got off it. Never been on Twitter, Instagram, or My Space. (My Space???? Is that still around?) Had an AOL account forever. Kids today laugh when I give an AOL e-mail address. “AOL??? Really! Didn’t know it still existed,” is the common retort.

Google, YouTube, HULU, Netflix, Yahoo!, gmail. Yup…been there done that. Don’t video game but still play with an old electronic chess set (I suck but still like the game).

So why WordPress? Appears now and again I get the urge to draw and write. I discovered I needed readers and viewers for inspiration, and feedback. (See how quick I catch on?) Hopefully WordPress will help me out. A friend of mine told me there are still people out there that read books, articles, WordPress and even like cartoons.

Now I just have to learn to work this program. Navigate the tools familiarize myself with the format and start putting out a blog and a few cartoons.

• Looks like the fire needs a few more logs. Time to go.
