Evil and madness darken our world of late. Brave Ukrainians fight for their survival against the Monster from Moscow. I am not a religious person but lately I have taken to prayer. I pray for the Monster’s demise.
To watch news post of Russian bombs exploding and showering death on innocent men, women, and children of Ukraine darkens everything everywhere! Hitler has returned from the grave and ironically he is Russian and has nuclear weapons.
Underground Cartoonist is a former ICU nurse that has worked at numerous civilian, military, and veteran Intensive Care Units across the country for better than three decades but has been sketching, drawing, and cartooning since he first picked up a crayon in kindergarten. Dabbled with political cartooning, writing, and general illustrations but the bread and butter came from health care. Recently left professional nursing to concentrate on camping, hiking, nature, the outdoors, trees, trails, and peace of mind. Love a campfire; rather watch it than TV. Avoid bureaucracy, career ladders, ladder climbers, and hero worship at all cost. Evenings spent with a good book, reading until the book smacks my nose when I doze off. Generally up at sun rise, listen to the mourning doves, put the coffee on, and play it by ear the rest of the day.

As an Ukrainian American watching the bastard Putin devastate my people is beyond heartbreaking. Zelinski has truly been an inspiration for the ppl of Ukraine but they are totally outmatched and outmanned. I pray they can get the support they need and deserve. πΊπ¦π’
I’m saying nothing, lest you put me on the list!
Have you found another secret corner in the woods, for reflection and time out?
I’m aiming for a 3am tide on Saturday, breakfast on Sheerness Beach, and back on the afternoon tide. Well, that’s the plan, I just count myself lucky I’m free to try.
Schnark, I viewed the link to the Australian flooding. I agree with you … climate change is the biggest issue confronting mankind. Between man-made climate change and the Mad-man of Moscow survival of this planet gets more challenging by the day.
Just so hapoens I am really feeling that darkness today. But it does not make me want to pray. That is as useless as hoping Pig Putin will see the errors of his ways. What we need is action. But as usual we sit by the side, wringing our hands, unwilling to ring the bells of freedom. I want to cry.
